7 Simple Weight Loss Tips

One thing we’ve come to know, losing weight can be a real pain in the butt! In today’s world when we’re all doing a million things, it becomes increasingly harder to find time to diet and exercise.

However, I’ve come up with some ways to lose weight without much change to your daily routine.

Eat Less But More Often To Help With Weight Loss

Hey! We’re starting these weight loss tips by saying EAT MORE OFTEN! But here’s what we mean by that – it’s better to break up the calories you’re consuming into 5-6 small meals a day. By eating smaller meals, your digestive system works more efficiently on a lighter load, rather than a larger meal that would be stored as fat.

Also by eating more frequently, you’ll keep your blood sugar up reducing your cravings for food.

Drink More Water Helps With Belly Fat

Real talk: Drinking water increases the amount of calories you burn. Drink water – burn calories, this is known as resting energy expenditure. Not only that but drinking water helps keep you feeling full.

Try drinking a glass of water before meals to help curb appetite.

Get Enough Sleep

If you think the amount of sleep you get doesn’t affect your weight, you’re wrong! Inadequate amounts of sleep have been directly linked to weight gain, a slower metabolism, and an increased risk of obesity and diabetes.

So we’re basically saying GET MORE SLEEP and lose weight easier, win-win right?

Eat Breakfast

Eating breakfast is one of the most common habits formed in people who not only lose weight but continue to keep the weight off. It doesn’t have to be extravagant, aim for around 300 calories at breakfast low carb diet. This will keep your hunger down so you don’t binge at lunch.

Take The Stairs

Skip the elevator, hit the stairs. Weight loss is all about burning more calories than you consume. A simple change in taking the stairs will help you burn off a few additional calories without even knowing it.

Skip Happy Hour

Ugh! But it’s so fun. We know, we know! But is it really worth it to drink your calories? Studies have shown that drinking alcohol either before or during a meal tends to increase the amount of calories consumed during the meal.

So essentially you’re consuming more calories just by drinking the alcohol, and yes, now we’re telling you that you’ll probably eat more too.

Don’t Skip Desert

Yes, we know! This must sound crazy. We’re talking about weight loss and we’re telling you to HAVE DESSERT!

Even if you’re counting calories, allow yourself to splurge on a piece of cake or some salty chips. By denying yourself completely of sweets, it’ll only make you crave them more.
